Week 6 of SRC: Last week of programs!
Spy School is on August 10th at 4 pm. Come to the library and learn what it takes to be a spy. Leave with a certificate and official spy badge!
Colour Catastrophe is on August 13th at 2 pm. We will be making slime and having an altogether colourful time. Please register by calling or emailing!
Save the Date: August 25th
Summer Reading Club officially comes to a close on August 25th at 1:30 pm. We will be hosting a medal ceremony for the kids who have completed the 50-day Reading Challenge! If you cannot attend the ceremony, you can pick up your medal anytime at the library.
At 2 pm Pico’s Puppet Palace will put on an amazing show for us! So stay after the medal ceremony of come by at 2 pm to see what crazy adventures Pico is going on.

What is SRC?
BC Summer Reading Club is a free literacy program encourages reading throughout the summer and engages children (ages 5-14 years old). Summer Reading Club is a fun, educational, inclusive and community-oriented program that began over 30 years ago. This years programs will include crafts, games, activities, and more!
This year’s BC Summer Reading Club community and connection-based theme is called All Together Now! It features artwork by Vancouver-based illustrator and artist Elaine Chen.
How to Register
SRC includes a 50 day reading challenge where kids track their reading for 50 days to win a medal at the end of the summer! Throughout the 50 day challenge kids can collect stickers for every 7 days of reading and enter draws for prizes. Come register and pick up your booklet starting June 15th.
