Summer Reading Club

BC Summer Reading Club 2018: Motion Commotion!

The Bowen Island Public Library invites kids aged 5-9 and youth 10+  to join the 2018 BC Summer Reading Club. This year’s theme is Motion Commotion!  Registration is free!

Activity sessions begin July 3rd and run through August 17th. They will run for 1.5 hours involving tons of games, crafts, reading and many other fun activities! Youth ages 10+ will be able to attend various workshops throughout the summer led by local Bowen talent!

For the 50 Day Reading Challenge, kids receive a special reading record to keep track of their reading. If they read 15 minutes a day for 7 weeks, they’ll be awarded a special Summer Reading Club medal and certificate.

Summer Reading Club motivates kids to read (or be read to) regularly, which helps kids to maintain or improve their reading skills while school is out. It makes reading fun and inviting for everyone, helping to inspire a life-long love of reading.
