Fix It Fair
Saturday November 16 @ 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Bring us your broken things! For anything that is not working as well as it could be, we’ve got a team of talented volunteers who are going to try and fix it. A big thank you to the fixers and menders who will be on site with their tools, lubricants, knitting needles and sewing machines to spruce your stuff up.
**New services are being offered this fall!**
🚘 Chris will be changing burnt out vehicle headlamps – bring your own replacement bulb! (Canadian Tire or Lordco are a good place to get this).
🎻 Kori will be restringing instruments from 2-3 pm! Please bring your own strings. He can restring acoustic, electric, & classical guitars, banjos, violins, ukuleles, and mandolins.
📿 Jewelry repair by Marysia! (ok not new but kinda special 😉)
Please bring your reusable cup for the free tea & coffee to help make this event zero waste – snacks will be available too.
Donations to cover lunch for the fix-it team are kindly accepted.
If you want to join our team of fixers or help out in other ways on the day of the event, please contact event coordinator Paola: pqualizza”at”gmail.com
Every item we can repair instead of throwing away and buying a new one is a win for the environment – and can make our social connections stronger too! Save money, connect with others, and maybe learn a thing or two about repairing your own items at this spring edition of the Fix-It Fair – repair, reinvent, reduce, rethink, respect, reuse, rejoice!
Looking forward to seeing you at Cates Hill Chapel on Saturday November 16 from 12-3 pm for this special community event!
This event is presented by Regenerative Bowen Island and made possible by the volunteer efforts of the organizing and fixing team.
