Author Talk: William George Lindsay • Rez Dog Blues & The Haiku
Saturday November 16 @ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Join author William George Lindsay as he speaks on his award-wining novel, Rez Dog Blues & The Haiku: A Savage Life in Bits and Pieces.
Lindsay’s second book is a realistic depiction of the effects of Indian residential school upon a generation. He’ll be speaking on his writing process, how to get a book noticed and rewarded, and the book’s many lessons, as well as reading excerpts and answering questions. He will speak in conversation with SFU colleague, Brenda Morrison, Director of the Centre for Restorative Justice at Simon Fraser University.
This is a great opportunity for emerging and aspiring writers to hear about the benefits of self-publishing and how to get your work out there.
William George Lindsay is a Cree-Stoney author and longtime educator, having worked in post-secondary education for a quarter century.
Copies of the book will be available for sale by the author (cash only, $20 for softcover; $25 for hardcover).
