Takeout of Med Shed Items During Our COVID-19 Closure
- See our medical equipment in our catalogue and search for the items you want to borrow.
You may also call (604-947-9788) or email the library with your requests.
- Place a hold on each item you want to borrow.
- Staff will find your requests and check them out to you. You will be notified when they are ready for pickup.
- Pick up your items on Wednesdays through Saturdays between 12 pm and 3 pm, or arrange for pickup by appointment. Come to the staff door and give us your name. Stand 6 feet (2 metres) away from the door and staff will pass your items outside for you to take.
Please return Med Shed items during our Takeout hours, which are currently Wednesdays through Saturdays, 12-3 pm. To return, please come to the staff door (by the parking lot), and we will receive your items. All items currently out have extended due dates, to be further extended if needed. No fines will be charged for any overdues during this closure.
What is the Med Shed?
The Med Shed is a program lending medical equipment to Bowen Island residents for free. All equipment is lent in as-is condition and on a first come first served basis, and is lent for a 6 week period free of charge. The loan period may be extended upon request and if available. No fines, fees or penalties are imposed for borrowing equipment.
