Library Takeout Service
Feeling desperate for an actual book? Want to get the kids away from the screen? Need to borrow some crutches or other medical equipment?
During our COVID-19 closure, pick up “takeout” books, DVDs, magazines, or medical equipment from the library collection. We can also arrange for home delivery (thank you Artisan Office!) on Thursdays for those in required quarantine or self-isolation.
- Go to our catalogue and search for the items you want to borrow.
- Place a hold on each item you want to borrow.
- Staff will find your requests, check them out to you, and get them ready for you to pick up. You will be notified when they are ready for pickup.
- Pick up your items on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 12 pm and 3 pm. Knock at the staff door and give us your name. Stand 6 feet (2 metres) away from the door and staff will pass your bag or box of items outside for you to take.
Find out about requesting medical equipment on our Med Shed page.
Due dates are extended until the library re-opens. All fines are waived during our closure. Read about our safe handling of library materials.
Our book return will be open as of May 27 for the same hours and days as our Takeout service (currently Wednesdays & Saturdays, 12 pm-3 pm), so you can return items through our dropbox when you pick up your new items.
