Who can join?: Kids aged 13 and under. We have three different age categories for programing: 5-6, 7-9, and 10-13.

Do I have to be able to read to participate?: No! Instead, you can be read to.

Can I join if I am going away for the summer?: Yes! We will put together a SRC package to take with you.

Will there be weekly prizes?: No, but there will be weekly prize draws with some great prizes. Check out a list of our prize donors!

Will there be a writing contest?: Not this year. Instead we will be compiling a monthly newsletter (one in July and one in August) and we would love to have your submissions.

When can I sign up for weekly programming?: The week before the program.

What book should I read?: Members of the SRC will be provided with a weekly reading recommendation list, but other people are always your best source. Everyone has a favorite book, ask your friends, ask your grandparents, and never hesitate to ask one of the library staff or volunteers. Fiona, the Summer Youth Program Coordinator, or any other staff member would be happy to help you pick-out a book that fits your reading level and interests.
