September is Literacy Month! Here’s what’s going on at the Bowen Island Public Library this September.
PhonoFun Activities. Short weekly videos and activity packages demonstrating activities you can do with your pre-reading child to help them develop phonological awareness which contribute to reading and spelling success!
Early Literacy Information. Books for Babies and information on promoting literacy from birth.
Reading For Reconciliation. On Thursday September 30th, Bowen Island Public Library invites you to visit the library to pick up free books for you and your family to learn more about Indigenous culture and history. We have books to give away for both children and adults. These items will be available while supplies last. We hope to see you at the library on this important day.
Teen Advisory Group. Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a place where you can share your ideas about the library’s teen programs, services and collections!
Bring Your Own Book Club (for ages 18-35). If you’re between 18-35 and want to discuss books and meet other Bowen Island book lovers, drop in to one or all of our Bring Your Own Book Club dates!
Fall StoryWalk®. StoryWalk® is a free self-guided activity that is open to the public! Families are encouraged to combine physical activity with reading in an outdoor environment.
