A maximum of 30 items may be borrowed at one time. Within the 30 item limit, the following limits also apply:

| Medical Equipment for Loan |
Free loan of medical equipment such as crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, bathing aids, toileting aids and miscellaneous other aids to daily living. Items are lent on a first come first serve basis |

Renewals
- Maximum of 2 renewals on any item.
- No renewals on materials requested by another borrower.
Holds
- Patrons may place holds on any item in the library collection.
- Limit of 10 holds per card at any one time.
Interlibrary Loans
- Interlibrary loans are materials requested from other libraries.
- No books published within the last 12 months can be requested.
- Patrons requesting ILLs must have a Bowen Library account
- ILLs have a 3 week lending period, with renewals dependant on the lending library.
- Limit of 5 Interlibrary loan requests per card at any one time.
- A $1.00 charge will be applied for Interlibrary Loans cancelled or not picked up.
